Welcome to the Dual Career Network Berlin!
The Dual Career Network Berlin is a comprehensive, service-oriented support network for the partners of newly-appointed professors and young managers in the fields of teaching and academic research.The DCNB offers both professional and private assistance during the process of settling in the Berlin area.
It is a central point of contact for people who are moving to Berlin with their partner and are looking for a new professional opportunity.
In contrast to earlier common practice in dealing with dual career couples, nowadays dual career networks do not simply ‘provide’ anyone with a job.
On the contrary, for scientists it is of rather particular importance to compete against other contestants and be selected due to their own qualifications instead of being chosen for a position merely on account of the ‘right choice of partner.’
The DCNB is also the contact office for those institutions that want to help the partner of their new manager to find a new job.

The Dual Career Network is a joint project run by all Berlin colleges and universities and the Berlin Senate Department for Education, Science and Research.
